Leader Spotlight: Dan Moskowitz, Blue Ridge Bank

After selling the business he owned and operated for nearly a decade, Moskowitz started his banking career in 1997 as a business development officer for First Union Bank (Baltimore, MD).  His deep understanding of small business (from the other side of the desk) allowed him to connect immediately with the business owners he would meet with over the next few years.  He would go on to hold relationship management positions at First Union / Wachovia, and leadership positions at PNC Bank and SunTrust Bank before moving into the community bank space in 2013.  Moskowitz conservatively estimates that he has met with over 2,000 businesses over the past 24 years.

Today, Moskowitz is the Market President for Blue Ridge Bank.  He and his wife Karen live in the home they built on Lake Anna in 2007.  They have three children 26, 24, and 17.
